Maine Rejects Columbus Day Weekend Tax Holiday
June 10th, 2009The Maine State Legislature has agreed to reject a bill that would have created a one-time statewide sales tax holiday. This bill (HP 792, LD 1148) would have exempted all items sold on Columbus Day weekend in October 2010.
Louisiana Approves 2nd Ammendment Firearms Sales Tax Holiday
May 29th, 2009The Louisiana House of Representatives and Senate have both approved legislation (HB 128 and SB 52) for a second amendment sales tax holiday on firearms during the first Friday through Sunday of September each year.
