California Permits One Month Extension Due to Fires
September 26th, 2009The California State Board of Equalization (SBE) and Employment Development Department (EDD) announced a plan to give emergency tax relief to business and citizens in Santa Cruz, Ventura, Imperial, San Bernardino, Mariposa, Placer, Los Angeles, Monterey, and Yuba Counties due to the August 2009 fire. Florida County Will Remit Taxes to DOR
September 9th, 2009Effective 1 October 2009, all dealers in Wakulla County required to collect the 2% tourism tax must remit all tourist development taxes and sales and use taxes directly to the DOR. All taxes collected up to 30 September 2009 will still be remitted to Wakulla County.

August 26th, 2009On 21 August 2009 Bill Leonard, Member of the State Board of Equalization (SBE), announced extensions for filling, audits, billing, notices, and assessments to give emergency tax relief to businesses and citizens in Yuma County due to the August 2009 fire. The SBE will permit a one month extension to file sales and use taxes without any additional fees.
Bullhead City Ends Collection Agreement With Arizona DOR
March 6th, 2009The Bullhead City Council voted to collect its own sales taxes returns and end its collection agreement with the Arizona Department of Revenue (AZDOR) effective 31 March 2009. Bullhead City chose Revenue Discovery Systems (RDS) as a partner to assist the staff in the self collection tasks. Taxpayers will begin filing their returns and remitting tax payments to RDS on behalf of Bullhead City beginning with the reporting period ending 31 March 2009 with a due date of 20 April 2009. Effective 1 April 2009 online filing and pay will be available at www.revds.com.
